Revell Of Germany SUPERMARINE SPITFIRE MK.IIA 1/32 Scale

This is a 1/32 scale kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIa – Revell 03986. The Spitfire is the most iconic British aircraft of World WarII. Developed from the Supermarine air-racers of the 1930s, it evolved continuously throughout the war, but its heart was the twelve-cylinder Merlin engine designed specifically for the Spitfire. It was so outstanding, it has been called “the engine that won WWII”, and demand was so high it was also built under license by Packard in the USA. The Spitfire Mk I was introduced in Fighter Squadrons before the beginning of WWII, but they really showed their value during the Battle of Britain. The first Spitfire Mk II was built in 1940 and a total of 990 Mk II were produced before the end of WWII. The Mk II featured a standard three-blase propeller and received added armor around the pilot.
