This famous impressionist painting is part of the Phillips Washington Collection. Renoir gathered his friends at the Terrace of the Auberge du Père Fournaise in Chatou, on the banks of the Seine. In the foreground, Aline, who will become his wife, is playing with a small dog. On the right, the painter Caillebotte is seated astride.
