Alain Thomas is a contemporary painter from Nantes considered to be the leader of the “primitive naive” school. He represents here, with naturalistic precision, the resplendent Quetzal, the emblematic bird of Guatemala. The vegetation is imaginary, sometimes intertwining real plants. And always, a butterfly, an insect and a scarlet ibis are part of the decor.
