Hasui Kawase was a Japanese painter and illustrator born in 1883 and died in 1957. He belonged to the Shin-Hanga movement or pictorial revival. This print depicts the Kameido Shrine Bridge in Tokyo, a source of inspiration for many Japanese artists. From mid-April, it becomes an essential destination for its flowering wisteria.
