The self-propelled tank hunter Panzerjager I was built on the hull of the dated Panzer I and armed with the effective and formidable, for the armored vehicles of the time, a 47 mm Czechoslovakian cannon. armament no longer in line with the operational needs of the German armored divisions. However, it had good mobility and good constructive reliability and therefore ideal for the adoption of the anti-tank gun, positioned behind an open steel shield. Panzerjager I was used by the Wehrmacht during the invasion of France, North Africa and in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa in 1941. It had a good supply of ammunition with over 70 rounds available for gunners.
